The Perennial Yard
Once again a new season is upon us, bringing with it new challenges
and new opportunities. We are excited about all the new varieties of
perennials which we will be offering this year. We are confident we have
always offered the most extensive collection of perennials available in
Eastern Ontario and this year is no different. We will have hundreds of
new listings this year once again, bringing our total to well over two
thousand varieties.
New on the list is Euphorbia 'First
Blush', Echinacea 'Coconut Lime',
Echinacea 'Green Envy', Brunnera 'Starry
Eyes', Polemonium reptans 'Touch of Class',
an improved variety of 'Stairway to Heaven'.
This beauty has vivid green leaf centres surrounded by cream coloured
margin that turns pink in cool weather or full sun. In
all we have over 25 varieties of Echinacea for sale including 'Vintage Wine',
'White Lustre', 'Kim's Knee High', 'Sparkler', 'Doubledecker',
'Little Giant', 'Ruby Giant', 'Prairie Frost', 'Kim's Mophead', 'Ruby
Star' and more. Also new is Peony 'Kirinmaru',
a rare red and white flowering variety - very limited quantities of this
one! There are some of the newest varieties of
Daylilies, Hostas, Heucheras (Citronnelle, Moka, Tiramisu to name a few!) Astilbes, Peonies,

We have a separate section for alpine plants. Not only for alpine
gardens but they are excellent in gravelly spots or in pavement
cracks, and they look lovely filling in spots on a rock waterfall!
